What is the difference between military elites and special forces?

I noticed that books specializing on military subjects call the U.S.M.C.,the 101st Airborne Division,the 82nd Airborne Division,the British Parachute Regiment,the Royal Marines,and the French Foreign Legion and other amphibious assault,paratrooper,and Air Mobile assault units military elites but not special forces. So what is a military elite and what seperates them from special forces? I mean what seperates a SAS commando or Navy Seal from a US Marine and 82nd Paratrooper or French Foreign Legionnaire?

What branch of the military if I am interested in military explosives career?

How are you? I was wondering what branch you would suggest if I am considering requesting some type of career involving/regarding explosive manufacturing, testing, design, and science? I have good knowledge of chemistry and physics regarding explosives and I figured I would put it to better use. There is only three different intentions when someone talks about the manufacture of explosive materials , I wish to be put it towards the positive intention. Though some would argue the US military isn’t necessarily positive. But I don’t care about those opinions.

My boyfriend is flying me to see him in March. He is in the military. Can he use his military discount to buy me a ticket or can he only use it for himself? I am not sure how this works. What travel sites take military discounts?

Why is the military spraying barium and aluminum particles in the atmosphere over populated areas?

I’ve heard a couple of reasons. To combat global warming, the particles reflect UV rays from the sun. The military is experimenting with ways to make the atmosphere more conductive for the HARPE weapon. The military is experimenting with radar jamming techniques. Other reasons I’ve heard are a bit extreme and involve to much speculation. If anyone has any insight on this or knows of any activists groups out there trying to put a stop to these experiments/practices please respond. Thank you.
