How would military enlistment numbers be affected if trade school and college were prepaid?

Knowing many military enlistees join for lack of clear career and educational goals in high school, what if high school career counselors all did their jobs better and post-secondary education was fully funded (disregard how, for now)? How would this affect military enlistment stats? This question is not about commission candidates or those who’d wanted nothing else but to serve. It’s only about the confused or disenfranchised who see no better alternative.

Can you have a military drivers license if your civilians license is suspended?

A friend of mine is stationed at Ft. Campbell. He’s been in the military for almost a year, but prior to getting into the military his license was suspended and is still suspended to this day. He’s supposed to get it back in November. He tells me that since he has a military DL he can drive Humvees and other military vehicles. He never told me how he got a military DL so Im not sure what to believe. So is it possible that he has a DL on base, but not a civilian DL?

Is the threat of a coup the fundamental weakness in all military systems?

In order to have a good military, the chain of command must be without a kink in the chain. Everyone has to follow orders, otherwise there is confusion and chaos. In a coup, the enemy takes over the head of the military and becomes the official leader of the military. The soldiers must now follow their enemies, otherwise they will be accused of mutiny and treason. So long as it is a successful coup, and the leader is given full credit and authority by the higher ups, the military is now under his command whether he was the enemy or not. Is this the fundamental flaw of all military systems?
